Villa Pietra Mani
The history of Villa “Pietra Mani” goes many years back, as one of the oldest small castles of the area, used to be a resident, such as the traditional “Xemonia” (castles-observatories) of Mani. With attention to detail, this half-demolished stone-built “Fortetsa” was restored harmonizing the architecture of the towers of Mani. During the works, importance was given so that its stone element participates in design and construction in the configuration of the gradations that constitute the living spaces of a typical Mani home.
Its external image is in the characteristic form of the small fortress – tower as a reference point of the house. Its masonry inside and outside has a strong element of visible stone. while part of the interior masonry and ceiling has been plastered to provide insulation and best living conditions all year round. The inner surface of the floor is covered with Italian tile while the outer terrace is made of stone like the garden walls.
The house features a surface of 120m2 and offers two separate and comfortable bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The first bedroom has a double bed while there are two separate single beds in the second bedroom. The bathrooms feature showers with cabins while there is a separate WC opposite the kitchen. Two extra guests can also be welcomed in the two separate sofa beds in the living room. The modern, country style kitchen is open plan with common living and sitting area.
The cooling and heating of the property is done with autonomous air conditioning (split units) while there is a smart TV, music system and Free Wi-Fi. The indoor and outdoor lighting is with spot ceiling and hanging lamps, all led, offering adequate lighting as well as linear lighting points with shading on walls and ceilings. From a distance, the villa looks like another element of the area, like a rocky outcrop of land while its outline delimits the location of the house in the plot while separating the main entrance and the parking lot from the terrace and the flowerbeds. The main terrace is shaded and includes the outdoor living with its comfortable wooden sofa lounger and the dining with its wooden long table and the comfortable dining chairs.
The flowerbed of the garden surrounds the house with its typical local vegetation, flowers and olives. This minimalist stone house is harmoniously placed in the pristine landscape with the strong characteristics of the authenticity and uniqueness of Mani nature and invites guests to enjoy unforgettable moments of tranquility, relaxation and privacy during their vacation. The distance from the sea and the two beaches is 6-7 minutes’ walk. The house offers open parking space for 2 cars.
